Deep dive:
The Capsule Solo Dishwasher is our most affordable and efficient compact countertop dishwasher, designed for small households and complete flexibility.
Whether you’re in a rented flat, studio kitchen, campervan or off-grid cabin, Capsule Solo delivers powerful performance without plumbing or compromise.
At just 46 cm tall, 26 cm wide and 50 cm deep, it’s the narrowest dishwasher on the market – ideal for countertops where every centimetre matters. Despite its slim profile, the internal rack width is 20 cm, wide enough for everyday plates, bowls and cookware.
Unlike other mini dishwashers, Capsule Solo has industry-leading capacity. It fits up to 25 items on its own – or 35 items when used with the optional Dual Tray. That includes full-sized 31 cm frying pans, 31 × 8.5 cm deep cast iron pots, tall 28 cm water bottles, chopping boards and oven trays. With its flexible Dual Tray you can load more dishes in fewer cycles, even when cooking for two or more.
A 15-minute quick cycle uses just 2.6 litres of water (up to four times less than washing by hand) while heating water to 75 °C – hot enough to kill bacteria and viruses without harsh chemicals.
Inside, Capsule Solo’s tub is made entirely of stainless steel – a feature found only in our compact dishwashers. This delivers better heat retention, faster drying and improved hygiene compared to plastic interiors. And with no built-in window, Solo maintains a stable wash temperature and keeps energy use low, without exposing your tableware to plastics unnecessarily.
Capsule Solo is fully self-contained. It runs on a clean water tank, drains into your sink or an additional water tank (sold separately), and doesn’t need plumbing. That makes it ideal for temporary setups, mobile homes and places where installation isn’t possible.
Tip: If you’d like a plumbed-in option, our other model – Capsule – is the one for you.
By moving both the clean and waste water tanks outside the body, Capsule Solo maximises internal space for dishes and keeps things more hygienic: you can see when tanks need refilling or cleaning, with no hidden water sitting inside the machine.
With seven versatile programmes, you can choose the right wash for you, including: Quick Wash, Gentle Wash, Daily Wash, Heavy Duty, Intensive Clean, Eco Wash and even a Fruit/Veg cleansing wash.
With Capsule Solo you can use any dishwasher detergent – powder, gel, liquid or small tablets.
Capsule Solo includes a multi-stage filter that catches food debris so your dishes (and machine) stay cleaner for longer. That means you don’t need to pre-rinse your dishes in the sink: just scrape any leftovers and let Capsule Solo do the rest.
Operating at just 60 dB, Capsule Solo is quiet enough for open-plan living, and safer for children and pets thanks to its slow steam release and no automatic door pops.
Thanks to its built-in carry handle and optional Travel Bag, Capsule Solo is easy to store, move and take on the go. Whether you're in a small flat, campervan, holiday home or even a boat, Capsule Solo gives you real freedom from the sink. No plumbing, no fuss – just clean dishes wherever you are.

I am very satisfied with the Capsule Dishwasher. It is the only mini dishwasher I could find that is narrow enough to actually fit in my small apartment. The build quality feels premium, and the overall design is very well-thought-out. Most importantly, the cleaning performance is reliable and thorough. A very practical and solid solution for anyone with limited kitchen space.
We use our Loch every day. Absolutely love it. Before we found Loch we had purchased another countertop dishwasher but it failed in every way and we returned it to the company for a refund. We are always amazed at the amount of dishes etc that fit in our Loch. It also holds a 9x13 glass pan plus other dishes in the same wash. Everything turns out spot free. We use Finish Quantum Powerball Tabs & they are perfect. We have a bungalow home from the 40’s, no dishwasher. Loch is a perfect fit for us. We definitely recommend this brilliant dishwasher. There are several wash settings to choose from plus a vegetable wash setting, no soap of course. With all the news reports about fruits & vegetables these days this is a must have setting! Kudos to the developers. We do not hook our Loch to the sink. We use the water reservoir. It could set anywhere as it does not leak water in any way. We have ours near the sink for convenience.
This is the best purchase we’ve ever made in 30 years! I’m super grateful to have chosen this brand. Set up was extremely easy and it truly is compact and easy to use and user-friendly. Highly recommend purchasing this brand.
It is working and cleaning and drying really well ! It fits perfectly in a small kitchen ! And the sound is not inconvenient..
am very happy about the Capsule ! Thank you very much for your innovation !
What a great piece of kit. Great selection of programs easy to use with a nice clear readout. Washes everything really well too. I am very pleased with my capsule. I highly recommend it.
Just arrived!!! Packing was very good it did have a couple of knocks to bottom of box but all seems to be ok, on the first use that is, frist load just done! It is quiet and seems very efficient. Looks lovely and when I get used to it I am sure it will be a breeze to use! Very pleased but already wish I had bought the top rack as well!
So far excellent 👌 I will maybe do a further review once it has stretched its legs! Happy customer 😃
I've lived in my little 2 bed house for about 10 years and space is limited. I really really hate washing up, but there's never been anything on the market that was small enough or it needed plumbing in etc.
Then an advert for Loch popped up! I'm Scottish born and bred (with a Berkshire accent!) My mum is actually from Edinburgh, so the Scottish connection was just meant to be.
Aside from that the I've had great communication with Loch since placing my order. Updated at every step. My order arrived promptly, really well packaged and seems to be very well made.
A very easy set up and I instantly put my new dishwasher to work. I live on my own, with only my boyfriend staying a few days a week, so not a huge amount to wash. But coming home and not having dirty dishes in the sink is just bliss!!
I love it!!
The Loch dishwasher is…ok.
The good:
-It’s very compact and stylish and it fits on our RV countertop without getting in the way.
-The 15 minute wash cycle uses very little water or electricity which is great for off-grid camping.
-It’s fairly quiet and the handle on top is great for storage between trips.
-Removing the dish rack and using the accessory trays on the bottom allows for some very tall items to be washed, such as skillets and pans.
-It gets hot enough inside to sterilize the contents.
The ok:
-The independent water tank is handy compared to our old dishwasher, which was filled from the top of the machine. Instead of using a pitcher we can just fill the tank at the faucet. It’s not perfect though (see below).
-In certain circumstances the Loch does a good job of cleaning dishes.
The bad:
-The touch panel went haywire and the entire unit had to be replaced.
-The dish rack design is bizarre with no obvious way to attach the silverware basket or arrange the dishes. There’s a weird hump towards the back of the rack which serves no purpose but consumes space.
-There is no sprayer at the top of the machine, so if bits of food are launched upwards from the bottom of the tub they land on top of dishes and remain there.
-The outside of the unit must remain dry or it will throw an E4 error code until the lower cavity of the case dries out. Quite an oversight for a product that lives next to a sink.
-Some wash cycles consume more water than the fresh tank holds and as a consequence they dispose of more dirty water than the waste tank can contain. It is not obvious which cycles do this until you run out of water or make a mess.
-The accessory sliding trays don’t work well in practice. The tines are too tightly spaced to hold silverware and the lack of an upper sprayer prevents silverware from getting clean. If used up top for long items (spatulas, etc) it’s difficult to remove the items without dumping them down into the tub.
-The cycles are bizarre. The eco cycle is the longest and consumes the most energy and one of the medium cycles gets the hottest. The cycles need to be logically consolidated.
Summary:
The Loch dishwasher is a neat product that looks great and takes up very little space but doesn’t work as well as it could.
Appropriately sized tanks, an upper sprayer, a redesigned dish rack, and more thoughtful wash cycles would change this from a novelty to a necessity.
The two accessory trays should be one long tray with wider tine spacing to be more useful.
I’m not sure if I’d recommend this product in its current form, but it’s great for very specific needs and has the potential to be much better.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review, Andrew. It really means a lot that you shared both the things you enjoy about Capsule and the areas where you think we can improve.
I'm glad to hear it's been a good fit for your RV and that it's helping with off-grid camping. That's exactly the kind of use we had in mind when we designed it.
We're also sorry you've had to deal with the issues you mentioned and we're pleased we were able to get a replacement to you. I hope it's been a much better experience. We've also shared your feedback with our product team. Suggestions like yours are incredibly valuable as we continue improving Capsule.
Again, thank you for giving us your honest thoughts and for giving us the chance to make things right.
We have been using the Loch capsule for almost a year now, I think. It helped us to clean quicker and smarter in our one bedroom apartment. We are overall very much enjoying the experience! There is sometimes a glitch in the system and the buttons seem to not be clickable and you need to restart it a few times, but overall, we love it! The most used buttons also lost their markings after a few months, but they can be clicked when cooperating.
Store owner replied:
Thank you so for your kind words, Jonathan! We're delighted to hear you're loving your Capsule.
We're sorry to hear about the silverware basket foot. Our team has already reached out to you via email, and we'll be happy to send you a replacement so we can get this sorted as quickly as possible.
Very easy to set up. Used it with the water tank first but have now plumbed it in.
Working well so far.
Works really well for its small footprint. Feels premium with stainless steel construction on the inside. If there’s a bigger option that would’ve been wonderful but still decent for a single person. Satisfied with my purchase.
Moved into a studio apartment with no dishwasher, and this was a great addition that makes life more convenient! It fits one two-person meal's worth of dishes, and I appreciate all the different settings for the different types of dishware.
I read all the comments about how tiny it is and what’s the point for 6 dishes and if that’s how you feel then this isn’t for you.
This is for us the ones with tiny kitchens and small families that have no interest in washing up!
It’s only just arrived and it was a bit fiddly to get the waste water tubing on with the silver ring (I suggest putting the ring on the tube then attaching it to the port instead of as pictures) but I’m on the third wash because at this point I’m looking for things to put it in!
The 15min cycle works well for just used dishes.
Haven’t used the fruit wash or UV light setting yet but hopefully that’ll be effective too.
Great when combined with another one. Could do with a clip to join two together.
Seems to hold on to water better than a sponge though so shake it before you remove it.
Cleans very well and is quiet. Arrived with the front, bottom panel (where Capsule is written) noticeably bowed inward. Unable to post the video… the power button does not always turn the Capsule on when pressed. Frustrating that the button takes up to 12 presses to get the power to turn on. Between the bent panel and the power button not engaging, I am still waiting for Loch customer service to find a solution.

Hi there, Michael! Thank you so much for your feedback! We’re so glad to hear your Capsule cleans well and runs quietly, but we’re so sorry to hear about the panel and power button issue. We really want to make this right for you! We sent a few follow-up emails in July to help resolve this, kindly please check your inbox (or spam folder) when you get a chance so we can get your machine taken care of right away!
Very well mate alas on your website with the sales offer it was confusing to determine the premium capsule, However we prefer the non plumbing option of the Capsule Solo albeit we are unable to use the rinse aid function of it. So for now it will do upon a few washes I'm sure we will be fablagasted we do really love the Capsule dishwasher
Absolutely disgraceful. Brand new dishwasher, and it showed an E4 error on the very first use. I followed every single instruction in the manual exactly as told, yet the machine still doesn’t work at all. Completely unusable straight out of the box. This is by far one of the worst products I’ve ever bought. A brand-new appliance shouldn’t fail before it even completes its first cycle. Total waste of money and time. Avoid this rubbish at all costs.
Store owner replied:
Thank you so much for sharing your honest feedback. We are so incredibly sorry that your experience with the Capsule started off this way. This is truly not the smooth experience we want for you, and we feel terrible that you ran into this issue right out of the box.
Since those bumpy transit journeys can sometimes push a bit of residual testing water onto the internal sensor and trigger that E4 code, one of our team members actually sent some helpful steps to your email yesterday to help get it cleared and running normally for you. We would love nothing more than to help get this completely sorted out, so please check your inbox whenever you have a moment so we can work on it together!
So well packed upon receipt. Easy to follow instructions and ready to use in minutes. So very happy with this purchase. Perfect for the small kitchen.
First impression review: So far I love this dishwasher. I found it through an ad and thought it would be perfect for me because I have zero space in my small apartment kitchen and the typical portable dishwashers are too big and wide. I specifically wanted this unit because it's slim. I don't have space on my countertop for anything really but I did have space in between my stove and my fridge so I was able to put it on top of a small shelf I have and it fits perfect. I put a piece of wood on top to make it look a little more built in. So, overall this dishwasher seems almost too good to be true. They seemed to have thought of everything with all the features that are available. I like that the tank sits outside the unit so you can better mitigate any mold issues. I love that there's a setting that runs the fan for 5 minutes every 4 hours so if you do your dishes overnight it'll circulate air in there. Happy to see there's a removable filter so you can easily clean out any food particles that might build up over time. It's pretty quiet and has a reasonably fast wash. I didn't realize until I got the unit and read the manual that you're supposed to put the tank next to the unit but I'm not able to do that so I have to put it on top and so far it's been working fine that way. After loading it for the first time I thought that it didn't hold as much as I thought it would or as the pictures here show - but I also think I just need to get used to loading a dishwasher and being more strategic about it. I did end up purchasing one dual tray so I can have more space in the main area so I'm using that for silverware and not using the silverware caddy. I also got a second tank for waste water. My only qualm so far is that the outlet hose tends to hold some water after emptying so when I unhook it from the tank some water still leaks out - this is just an inevitable effect and hard to avoid. I do have one concern and it's about the longevity and durability of this unit because I'm really hoping it lasts for many years - especially considering the cost which is no small amount. It seems to be great quality but I hope it holds up over time and doesn't break or have any issues over time because shipping it back would be a pain - the manual does say to keep the box in case you do have to ship it back so unfortunately I have to find a place to store the giant box for the foreseeable future.
I love it! I was worried about the small capacity but it’s perfect for me and my two cats. If you have a pile of dishes you will have to do multiple loads but it’s quick and easy and I’d much rather do that than wash by hand! Not to mention everything comes out SPARKLKNG clean.
My only wish is that there was an option to have a longer hose for the water intake. As you can see I have to stretch mine across the sink and it’s just barely hanging on.
Got the order today - fast shipping, it was in great shape on arrival. Easy to set up, did a test run with our usual post-meal dishware and was quite pleased with the results. The unit is quieter than I had expected, and the quick, 15 minute cycle was perfect for the dishes, flatware and glasses that we use for a standard meal. I used half the amount of dishwasher detergent that was in the directions (based on what other people had mentioned) and it was quite sufficient. Basically, I just poured enough liquid detergent to cover the area indicated on the door. Not sure how powdered detergent would work since the volume might be harder to judge, but going with 7-8 gms of detergent appears to be plenty.
It's early days to make a complete judgement, but so far, I'm quite pleased with this appliance. It uses WAY less water than hand-washing the same amount of dishes, and it fits very nicely in my small-ish kitchen. We're on a septic system and have never dared to have a dishwasher based on the concerns with water volume.
The irony of FINALLY having a dishwasher, now that we're empty-nesters, is not wasted on us 🙃 5 stars, definitely!
I absolutely LOVE this dishwasher! I do dishes for a living working in a dairy kitchen plus I love to cook from scratch in my tiny house so dirty dishes take over my life. Now I feel I have a sense of freedom to cook even more for myself in my tiny kitchen. I'm also flabbergasted over how well it cleans my dishes in such a short amount of time. Another note, most small dishwashers I've found do not ergonomically fit in tiny house kitchens where counter space and cabinet space are so valuable. But this dishwasher feels like it was meant for the space it's in.
What a machine 👏 ...it's compact enough, economical, love the timings. Great value, what I've noticed is you only need half a tablet . So saving more money 💰 brilliant thank you 😊
Store owner replied:
Thank you so much for the fantastic review, Janet! We love that clever tip about using half a tablet, and we're so glad your Capsule is saving you both time and money! Enjoy!
Looks so smart on my kitchen worktop and does its job beautifully. It is ideal for two of us and easy to use. Very happy.

I really like this dishwasher because it saves space. However, after using it for about half a month, a problem started happening. After turning on the power, the control panel often do not respond when I try to select different settings. I have to unplug it from the wall and plug it back in before it works again, sometimes repeating this once or twice.
I’m not sure what is causing this issue. Is there something I can do to prevent it, or could there be a problem with the control panel on my unit?
@Loch, could you please take a look at my message and help answer? I really like this dishwasher, but I’m starting to feel a bit worried. It won’t break down so soon, right? Recently, almost every time I press the control panel, there’s no response. Then I unplug. This problem did not happen during the first half month after I bought it.
Store owner replied:
Thank you for taking the time to share this with us, Jenny. We’re sorry to hear about the issue with the control panel, especially as we understand how concerning it can be when a problem starts after everything was working well initially.
Our support team has reached out to you by email to help look into this further, but we haven’t heard back from you. We’d love to continue assisting and understand how your Capsule is performing so we can find the best solution for you.
