No. Capsule runs on its own clean water tank and drains into your sink or an optional waste water tank, so it works anywhere — with the option to connect to plumbing if you'd prefer.
For Normal and Eco Wash cycles, Capsule works best with 5–10 grams of powder, liquid, or gel detergent. Avoid regular hand-washing dish soap and full-size pods, which are too strong for Capsule's efficient water use.
